Can other people view my event?
An event must first be released to family and friends in order for others to access it. Both you and your photographer have the ability to release the event to family and friends, but the photographer will most often leave that step to you.
How do I allow others to login to my event?
To share the event with others, you will need to release the event to family and friends and then provide them with the event's public password (if one has been set).
How do I release my event to family and friends?
To release your event:

  1. Choose Release My Event from the My Event menu.
  2. Click the link to preview the notification email, then click OK when done.
  3. Click Release.

After following these steps, an email announcement will be sent to you and anyone on your Family & Friends list. You may forward the email to anyone you want to share your event with. Your event will also be searchable from the Event Search page.
Can I hide certain images in my event so that others cannot view them?
Yes. There are a couple ways to do this:
  • On the Public/Private page, choose the images in question and set them to be private. Only your photographer and yourself will be able to view these images.
  • On the Categorize Photos page, click Add Category. Give it a name and uncheck the Public option, then click Save. Any images you move to this category will now be private and only viewable by yourself and your photographer.
Should I share my user id and password with others?
No. The user id and password you receive via email is for the event owner only and should not be given out to family and friends.

To share the event with others, you will need to release the event to family and friends and then provide them with the event's public password (if one has been set).

  2. Click Add to add a single contact. Fill out the information and click Save.
  3. To import your address book from Outlook, click Outlook CSV Import and follow the instructions.
Can I email certain event images to my family and friends?
Yes. Using the Compare Photos page, you may email up to four images at a time:
  1. Choose Compare Photos from the My Photos menu.
  2. Select up to four images and click the Email to Friends button.
  3. If you have added any contacts to your Family & Friends list, they will appear here and you can quickly choose who you would like to send the images to. Alternatively, you may click Add to create a new contact.
  4. Click Send.
How do I announce my event to family and friends?
You may announce your event availability by adding contacts to your Family & Friends list and then releasing your event.

Each time you release your event, an announcement email will be sent to everyone on your Family & Friends list. This email will contain a link to the event and the public password, if one has been set. You may release as many times as you like.

Alternatively, you may forward on the announcement email you will receive after releasing your event.

Note, do not forward the email containing your user id and password; this is for your use only.
